Yeah, I Guess I Just Got The Blues…
Here is some fun blues piano sheet music which you can download for free! It will suit a pianist of Grade 4 standard and ‘mooches’ along with a triplet 12-8 feel and swung quavers.
Note that at this slow tempo, the jazz swung quavers can pretty much be played like tied triplets:

You’ll also spot some fancy little ‘blues’ embellishments based on the ‘blue notes‘ of the flattened 3rd and 5th notes of the scale of F major. Have a listen to the performance track below to get the idea of how these appoggiatura grace notes should be played!
“I Guess I Got The Blues” features two variations after the opening theme. Remember to keep the left hand ‘smooth and cool’ in the 3rd variation, and watch out for the short staccato notes throughout the piece as they will help you with the right hand’s jazz-phrasing feel.
It’s really tempting to rush this piece, but keep it nice and steady – think of a laid-back chilled-out rainy Sunday afternoon…
Once you’ve got the hang of “I Guess I Got The Blues”, you might like to try the play-along backing track which has been professionally recorded for this piece. Remember – If you become a Member of my-music-room.com you can download the backing track for free!.
Have fun playing the blues!
